On August 13th, I attended The Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester’s Sixth Annual Terri Schmitt Legislative Reception.   The mission of this important group is to provide support to those touched by a diagnosis of breast cancer, to make access to information and care a priority through education and advocacy, and to empower women and men to participate fully in decisions relating to breast cancer.

I had the honor to meet many of the people who make up this Coalition.  I would like to thank them for hosting this wonderful event in honor of the late Terri Schmitt.

Signed Proclamation Honoring the Relay Team

During the August Meeting of the Monroe County Legislature, Legislator Mike Barker and I honored the Fairport Girls 3,200 Meter Relay Team.  The team broke the Section V record at the New York State Public High School Championships as well as competed nationally at the Nike Outdoor Championships.  This team is also featured in the August 19th edition of the Fairport-East Rochester Post. 

The Fairport Softball and Girls Lacrosse Teams were honored at the July Meeting of the Legislature.  I wish continued success to all of our Fairport Athletic Teams!

Young readers, ages 5-14, who sign up are eligible for one of over 650 prizes which have been donated by several local businesses and not-for-profit groups. Selected middle-age students will be asked to participate in the “Knowledge Bowl” competition this fall.

Welcome to my new website! I hope you take a few minutes to look around and learn about my views on the issues facing Monroe County.

I’m a life long resident of our community and, like generations of family members before me, I’m staying put. I’m living, working, and raising my children in Perinton because I love our town and it’s worth protecting.

We need to control government spending and cut taxes. As your legislator, I’m using the same approach I use at H.P. Neun Co. The strategy that employs local residents and supports area families.

The result? Your county property tax rate is lower today than the day I took office. But the job isn’t done. Keep me as your Legislator, and I’ll keep working for you.
